大型强子对撞机实验首度发现“五夸克”粒子

【环球科技综合报道】据香港《东方日报》7月15日报道，欧洲核研究组织(CERN)14日表示，他们在进行一个实验期间，相信找到了一种名为“五夸克”(pentaquark)的粒子。专家称他们利用大型强子对撞机测试时，数十亿粒子碰撞纪录的结果，证明了“五夸克”粒子的存在。

专家表示发现此粒子有助于理解质子与中子如何构成物质。

“五夸克”粒子的理论，由美国物理学家盖尔曼(Murray Gell-Mann)和齐威格(George Zweig)在1964年首次提出，但学者从未成功发现。盖尔曼所提出的“夸克模型”认为，质子和中子不是基本粒子，而是由3个夸克组成的，并且提到可能存在奇特类型的粒子。(实习编辑：司一捷   审核：谭利娅)
